Welcome to Our Leadership Team

At Browns Valley Christian Church, we believe God calls leaders to serve with humility, integrity, and a heart for people. Our pastors, elders, and deacons are dedicated to prayerfully guiding our church family, equipping believers for ministry, and encouraging everyone to grow in Christ.

Scripture reminds us of the importance of godly leadership in the church:

Pastors/Elders are called to “shepherd the flock of God that is among you” (1 Peter 5:2) and must be “above reproach, faithful to [their] spouse, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach” (1 Timothy 3:2).
Deacons are to be “worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience” (1 Timothy 3:8–9).

Our Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Elders, and Deacons strive to live out these biblical qualifications, not as a badge of honor, but as a calling to servant leadership. Their desire is to glorify Christ by caring for His church and equipping His people to love God, love others, and make disciples.

Senior Pastor:

Craig R. Carrell

Pastor Craig Carrell serves as our Senior Pastor with a deep passion for helping people encounter Jesus Christ and grow in a life-changing relationship with Him. He loves preaching and teaching the Bible, making God’s Word both practical and meaningful for everyday life. Craig is especially passionate about the biblical design of the family, the study of end times, and biblical leadership, and he desires to see God’s truth shape hearts, homes, and communities.

Craig earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Moody Seminary Institute, which provided him with a strong biblical foundation for ministry. Outside of church life, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife, Lagora, and their two daughters, Aaleeah and Vera. Whether watching his girls play sports, supporting them as they show livestock through 4-H, or coaching football and basketball at Crawfordsville High School, Craig values every opportunity to mentor and encourage young people. In all that he does, Craig’s greatest joy is pointing people to Jesus and walking with them as they grow in their faith.

Associate Pastor:

Justin Bullock

Justin Bullock serves as our Associate Pastor with a heart for helping people encounter Jesus Christ in a personal and transformative way. He especially enjoys ministering to our youth, walking alongside the next generation as they grow in faith and learn to follow Christ. Justin is passionate about building relationships, teaching God’s Word, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to experience God’s love and grace.

Outside of ministry, Justin treasures life with his family—his wife, Joanna, their son, Reese, and their daughter, Kenzie. He enjoys coaching baseball, cheering on the Chicago White Sox, and spending quality time with the people he loves most. Whether in the church or the community, Justin’s desire is to see lives changed through the hope of the gospel and to help others take steps closer to Christ each day.
